Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Are group discounts available?

A: Yes, the greater the number, the greater the discount. If a team wished to enroll together, the coach receives a free week in Mexico to observe his players and their development.

Q: What does the cost of $3,100 cover?

A: Everything: Room, food, coaches, roundtrip flight from Chicago, and an adventure excursion such as jungle tours, etc…..

Q: Can parents use Frequent Flier Miles to offset the cost?

A: Yes, you are welcome to work with our travel agency in that regard.

Q: Can I choose my roommate (s)

A: Yes.

Q: Can I drink the water?

A: Absolutely. The water at the hotel and provided at the fields is fine for drinking. Bottled water is also readily available.

Q: Is internet available?

A: Yes, in the lobby.

Q: Do cell phones work?

A: Some do automatically. For all others, contact your service provider, and they should easily be able to accommodate you.

Q: How safe is it?

A: Very. All players stay in the same hall of the hotel. The hall will have L.A.F.I. staff available in the hall 24/7. The coaches and staff also stay in the same hall. In addition, the hotel has its own 24/7 security and staff available. The town in which we stay is very colonial and slow-paced. It is very small, safe, and inviting.

Q: Can parents visit?

A: Absolutely! We are more than happy to have parents visit and observe their player’s development while enjoying all that Bucerias and Puerto Vallarta, Mexico have to offer.

Q: How far are we from Puerto Vallarta? How often do we go into Vallarta?

A: We stay about 20 minutes outside of Puerto Vallarta. We will compete in the Vallarta stadium a couple times per week. We will also go to Vallarta as a group on several occasions to enjoy all it has to offer.

Q: Is there shopping available?

A: Yes, there is a grocery store and pharmacy just 1 block from the hotel. Also, in Bucerias, there are many native artisans selling a wide variety of handicrafts to take home as gifts and souvenirs.

Q: Are there sharks?

A: No. Puerto Vallarta/Bucerias is located on the Bay of Banderas.  The whales and dolphin actually keep the sharks far out of the bay in the Pacific Ocean.

Q: What else is there to do when not playing soccer, sleeping, or eating?

A: A lot. You can stroll down the street 2 blocks and enjoy the traditional town square of Bucerias where all the locals mingle and sell their wares. There are internet cafes, restaurants, public beaches, billiards, live music, and many artists in Bucerias.

Q: What if I need to arrive a couple days late or leave a little early?

A: That is fine. We can easily accommodate your needs.
